| Galilean Night at the Château du Rouët |
Friday 23rd of October 2009
Galileo Galilee first used a telescope in 1609. 400 years later, the “ Observatoire Provençal d’Astrographie” and its president, Dominique Albanése, offer you a night to discover the stars and mainly the so-called “Galilean” satellites. This special event is part of the international year of Astronomy and it will take place at 7.30 P.M. at the Château du Rouët Domain.
A conference will be held by Frédéric Morand, research engineer at the Côte d’Azur Observatory, at 8.30 P.M. Its topic will be “From Galilee to modern Astronomy”.
You can find further information on the website: www.afanet.fr . It aims all ages!
We would be delighted to welcome you, for this special event, at Château du Rouët, and serve you a refreshment after the conference!
