Between the Côte d'Azur and the Northerly hills of the Var, the Château du Rouët offers an environment of character. A cork-oak forest surrounds the vineyard and the hamlet.
Visitors are suprised to see that this forest resembles those found in Corsica, Catalonia and the Maghreb …

Many walkers enjoy rambling in the Massif de l'Estérel, particularly in spring and in autumn.

You can enjoy the diversity and complexity of the local flora: the rare ciste ladanifère, the ciste à feuille de sauge, the ciste blanc, tulips, narcissi, anemones, orchids, and yellow and mauve irises.

The river Endre, quite close by car, is one hour on foot.
Anglers can obtain all the information needed at the Town Hall in Le Muy. By car, you will be enchanted by the CD 47 which follows the former Roman way from Draguignan to Fayence, crossing picturesque landscapes from inland to the sea.

Eastwards, Bagnols is the nearest hilltop village.

Before arriving at Seillans, stop to admire the architecture used to establish and protect one of the most beautiful villages in France. Westwards you come to Le Muy and La Motte.

All year round you can enjoy a privileged welcome at the Golf de Saint Endreol, an 18-hole golf course renowned for its rare tranquillity. (www.st-endreol.com)

Le Muy , situated between the Maures and the Estérel mountain-range, between the rivers,Argens , Nartuby and Endre flowing in this plain, has developed over centuries. Every Thursdays and especially every Sunday there is a provençal market you can enjoy.
